Illinois Wesleyan University invites applications for an approved one-yearsabbatical replacement in Humanities & Classical Studies. Teaching load is 6 courses (one of which may be taught in our 3 wk-intensive "May Term").Courses needed: Greek 101 & 201 (using _Athenaze_), classical mythology,ancient history and two other courses in area of applicant's expertise:art/archaeology, Greek or Roman culture, literature in translation._Requirements_: PhD preferred and at least 3 years of college levelteaching experience. IWU is looking for a broadly trained classicist orancient historian who is committed to undergraduate teaching, capable ofmanaging a one-person interdisciplinary program in Classical Studies andwho can contribute courses that fulfill both general education requirementsand required courses for the Minor in Classical Studies. Preference willbe given to someone willing to teach in our "May Term."
