Ancient History. Approved tenure track position at the level of assistant professor in Ancient History and Classical Studies. Ph.D. (preferably in history) should be in hand at beginning of appointment. Successful candidate will contribute to three interdisciplinary programs: History, Classical Studies, and General Education. Must possess a broad competence in ancient history and the ability to teach Latin. Specialization in Roman History and ability to teach in at least two of the following: Medieval Europe, Ancient Near East, Greece, Egypt, and Mediterranean Archaeology. IWU is a highly selective liberal arts college of approximately 2000 undergraduates, located two hours south of Chicago.
