Full-time, one-year Visiting Professor of Classics for 2002-2003. Teaching Responsibilities include six courses: 3-3 or 2-3-1 with 1 course in our three-week intensive May Term. Courses needed: Humanities "World of Ideas" 101 (Fall), Latin 102 (Fall) and Latin 201 (Spring), Greek 101 (Spring), and two other courses in the area of the candidate's area of expertise: literature, art/archaeology, ancient history, culture. Of special interest are courses on Late Antiquity, Egypt or ancient Near East. Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered with proven teaching excellence.
