INDIANA UNIVERSITY – BLOOMINGTON, IN

The Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant professor position in the field of Roman art and archaeology for the academic year 2011/12. The successful candidate will hold the title of Case Visiting Classicist, present a public lecture during the course of the year, and receive research support. S/he will teach two undergraduate courses each semester, including introductory classical art and archaeology, advanced art and archaeology of Rome, and ancient Roman culture. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. with strength in classical archaeology by July 1.
