INDIANA UNIVERSITY – BLOOMINGTON, IN

The Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2013. We seek an individual with expertise in either Greek Language, Literature, and Culture or Roman Art and Archaeology who is committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ph.D. is required at time of appointment. The Department of Classical Studies has close ties to the interdisciplinary Program in Ancient Studies. Applicants should send a cover letter, CV, graduate transcript, and writing sample (no more than 25 pages), and should arrange for at least three letters of reference from persons who can speak to their teaching ability and scholarly potential.
