INDIANA UNIVERSITY – BLOOMINGTON, IN
The Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant professorship for the academic year 2007/8. The visitor will teach two undergraduate courses each semester, including Intensive Elementary Latin, Classical Drama, and Classical Mythology (a large lecture course). The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Classics by July 1.

The Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Greek art and archaeology at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2007. Ph.D. is required at time of appointment. We seek an individual who is committed to excellence in scholarship and in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be called upon to teach a wide range of introductory and advanced courses in art and archaeology and in classical civilization, including mythology. The Department of Classical Studies has close ties to the interdisciplinary Program in Ancient Studies.
