The Department of Classical & Modern Languages & Literatures at Texas Tech University invites applications for an Instructor in Classical Archaeology. The position is for one-year, with the possibility of a second year. We seek applicants with a record of teaching, research, and publication in Roman archaeology and material culture, who will be able to teach an introduction to the World of Rome, Archaeologies of the Classical Past, Ancient Technology, and Sports and Spectacles in the Ancient World. A Master’s degree in Classics is required. Preference will be given to applicants with Ph.D. in hand by beginning of appointment. Service to the department, college, and university is expected.
