The Louisiana State University Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track Instructor of Classics.

The area of specialty is open. Teaching responsibilities will primarily include first-year and intermediate Latin and Civilization courses but there may be an opportunity to teach a course on a topic of your choosing. The successful candidate will teach 12 hours in the Fall term and 12 hours in the Spring term. (First-year courses are four hours each and all other courses are three hours each.) Job responsibilities will also include holding regular office hours.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Classical Studies or related discipline
