The Department of World Languages and Literatures at The University of Memphis is seeking applicants for a one-year, non-tenure track instructor in Classics starting August 2019 pending availability of funds. Requirements: M.A. degree in Classics; native or near-native proficiency in English; ability to teach Italian is highly desirable, successful teaching experience in lower and upper-division courses as demonstrated by recent student and supervisor evaluations. The successful candidate will teach 4 or 5 courses per semester in Classics, Latin and/or Greek and possibly Italian.
