Education Specialist (Public Programs) for the Villa, the J. Paul Getty Museum.
The Getty Villa in Malibu, CA, will be a second location of the J. Paul Getty collection, and will have as its focus Greek and Roman art. The Getty is currently seeking an Education Specialist responsible for the planning, development, and administration of public programs, including lectures, symposia, and programs for university audiences. Will also participate in the development of educational exhibitions as well as interpretive materials for the permanent collection, special exhibitions, and electronic media. The successful candidate will be able to provide leadership in a collaborative work environment and must have demonstrated ability to create and manage educational programs for public and university audiences; experience working on exhibition content and didactics; excellent writing and communication skills, and experience developing and managing budgets. Graduate degree in art history, museum education, or related experience in museum education or related field. Salary commensurate with experience.
