Assistant Professor of Classics. The Department of Classical and Modern Languages at John Carroll University, the Jesuit university in Cleveland, invites applications for an approved full-time, tenure-track position in classical languages beginning August, 2002. The successful candidate shall have a Ph.D. by that time and shall be expected to teach six courses per academic year, to include Greek and Latin at all undergraduate levels as well as courses in Greek and Roman culture. Evidence of scholarly potential and of excellent teaching will be expected. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation and a sample of scholarly writing.
