Kenyon College invites applications for a 2-year position in the Department of Classics at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, effective July 1, 2010.

The successful candidate will teach both semesters of intensive elementary Greek each year in addition to two other courses, which may include upper level language courses, a survey of Greek history, or other courses in translation. The candidate’s primary research interest should be in Greek literature or Greek history. A Ph.D. in hand is preferred, but not required. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
