KNOX COLLEGE – GALESBURG, IL
The Department of Classics at Knox College invites applications for an anticipated full-time visiting position at the level of instructor or assistant professor, to begin September 2009. The position is for one year. The teaching load will be two courses per term (six courses over three 10-week terms). We seek candidates who are broadly trained and are prepared to teach Latin and Greek at all levels, as well as courses in translation on Greek and Roman culture. Expertise in Roman art is especially welcome. Knox is an independent, highly selective liberal arts institution with a diverse student body and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
