Koç University invites applications for four full-time faculty positions contributing to the History and the Archaeology and Art History programs. Candidates of any area of expertise are encouraged to apply but preference will be given to candidates in the following areas: 19th-20th century Ottoman /Turkish history; Modern European History (particularly, Russian/Soviet history); Archaeology of the Hellenistic, Roman or Byzantine periods in the region of Anatolia; Art History of the late Ottoman/Turkish Republic or modern/postmodern Europe.

The candidates would be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate programs in History and Archaeology and Art History. We are seeking applicants who have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Candidates should have a PhD, and may be of any rank. Knowledge of Turkish is an asset. Koç University is located in Istanbul, Turkey. It is a highly selective private university of around 3000 students.
