LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY – APPLETON, WI
The Lawrence Fellowships in the Liberal Arts and Sciences are postdoctoral positions for recent Ph.D.’s who seek to develop a record of excellence in teaching and research in a liberal arts college setting (www.lawrence.edu/dept/fellows). Several fellowships will be offered on a competitive basis in 2006-07. These full-time appointments are for 2 years, with a reduced course load to provide time for scholarly research. Fellows also participate in a teaching and research development program at the university. Lawrence University encourages its Fellows to engage in tutorials and research projects with undergraduates, as well as participate in teaching and research collaborations with members of the faculty. Fellowships carry a stipend of $35,000 per year, plus benefits, and a $2,500 annual fund to support research, travel, and other initiatives.
