Monmouth College, a selective liberal arts college, announces a one-year, part-time position in Classics for the academic year 2019-2020. Teaching responsibilities, subject to enrollment, will include teaching two full-semester courses in the fall (Latin I and Mythology: The Trojan War and Its Aftermath), one full-semester course in the spring (Latin II), and consecutive half-semester courses in the spring (Medical Terminology and Scientific Terminology). The position requires an M.A. in Classics or a related field and notable teaching experience. Preference will be given to those who have either earned a Ph.D. or who are close to it, and who can provide evidence of teaching excellence.
