The Department of Religious Studies and Classics at the University of Arizona is accepting applications for a Lecturer in Classics for the 2019-2020 academic year. This is a full-time position with benefits, beginning 08/19/2019.

The Department is seeking candidates with a demonstrated record of teaching excellence. The successful candidate will teach General Education courses for a diverse undergraduate student population. The initial duties will consist primarily of teaching sections of introductory-level Classical mythology courses for the University of Arizona’s General Education curriculum. The initial teaching load likely will include one online Classical mythology course during an accelerated session (10/17/2019 – 12/11/2019), as well as at least one in-person Classical mythology course held during the regular semester (08/26/2019 – 12/11/2019). Resources are available at the University to assist in developing the online course before its launch in October 2019.
