LOYOLA COLLEGE IN MARYLAND -- BALTIMORE, MD
The Classics department at Loyola College in Maryland announces a possible one-year replacement position at the rank of Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor depending on degree for AY 2005-06. (The position is contingent upon the approval of a sabbatical leave.) Candidates should have an M.A. (or be A.B.D) in Classics, Classical Archaeology or Ancient History (with Ph.D. preferred.) Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate Latin is strongly desired and the promise of such excellence is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 introductory and/or intermediate Latin and/or Greek courses in the Fall semester and 2 such courses in the Spring semester. The position carries a salary of $24,000 plus benefits.
