The Department of Classical Studies seeks a generalist classicist with specialization in religions of the ancient Mediterranean world (/e.g./, Judaism) for a one-year, non tenure track appointment beginning August, 2007. The successful candidate should have the PhD in hand and be able to teach larger lecture courses in classical studies, including ancient Greek religion in the second semester of the academic year, as well as smaller classes in Latin and Greek. Evidence of successful college-level teaching is requisite.
