Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty Position in History, Position Number F454

Teach 12 hours per semester including lower-division Western Civilization or World History survey courses and courses covering Ancient Greece and Rome. Assignments may include online, evening, and weekend classes, and courses cross-listed with other departments. Advise students and participate in departmental/school/college assignments as needed. The successful candidate must be sensitive to and able to work with the educational needs of a diverse urban population.

A. Ph.D. in history with a concentration in Ancient Rome and/or Greece by August 1, 2008.

Successful college teaching experience including Western or World Civilization survey courses. Ability to teach curriculum that incorporates the contributions of women and ethnic minorities.
