Monmouth College invites applications for a two-year post-doctoral Fellow in Classical Archaeology. We seek a broadly-trained archaeologist who would enhance a strong classical studies program with an emphasis on the use of material culture. The position is half-time teaching and half-time research. Teaching responsibilities include three courses annually, including courses in classical archaeology (ideally one based in the Greco-Roman world and the other with a "world archaeology" emphasis). Possibilities for other courses include an archaeological-based course for the Global Perspectives course in the Monmouth College Integrated Studies program, an archaeological research lab courses using the Shields Collection of Antiquities and the Monmouth College collection of North American artifacts, or other courses in Classics, depending on the Fellow's expertise and needs.
