ACM-Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellowship Position in Classical Archaeology.
The one-year post-doctoral Fellow in Classical Archaeology, originally posted as possible in November, 2011, is now a definite opening. The following REVISED job description provides more specific information about the courses the individual will teach.
We seek a broadly-trained archaeologist who would enhance a strong classical studies program with an emphasis on the use of material culture. The position is half-time teaching and half-time research. Teaching responsibilities include three courses: one in classical archaeology (ideally one based in the Greco-Roman world, a second archeology course with an emphasis on “world archaeology,” and two partial credit archaeological research lab courses using the Monmouth College collection of North American artifacts.

New applicants are asked to submit a letter of application, vita, graduate transcripts, statement of teaching philosophy, overview of research interests, a writing sample, and three letters of recommendation to Professor Thomas J.
