The Department of Classics at New York University is seeking to appoint a tenured senior scholar or, in an exceptional case, an advanced junior scholar working in ancient Greek history/historiography to begin September 1999, pending budgetary and administrative approval. Candidates should give evidence of a distinguished record of publication and should be prepared to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in history as well as Greek language courses at all levels.
