The Department of Classics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment (Assistant Professor) in social or cultural studies of ancient Greece or Rome, commencing fall 2013. We seek candidates whose scholarship may focus on literature or material and visual culture, and whose approach bridges traditional divisions between discipline or medium; we particularly welcome applications from scholars whose work also addresses issues in reception. The successful candidate will teach and advise at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ph.D. by the time of appointment and teaching experience are expected.
