Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Classics, to begin in the fall semester, 2010. Candidates should have a strong research and teaching interest in the material evidence for classical antiquity, with a particular emphasis in Greek archaeology and art. Candidates should have the ability to teach either Latin or Greek at the undergraduate level, with a preference for Greek. Classics at Pitzer College is part of the intercollegiate Classics program of the Claremont Colleges, which consists of six full-time positions and draws widely on faculty in allied disciplines.
