The Department of Classics at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment to begin in August 2020. Our new colleague will teach both Greek and Latin at all levels (beginning to advanced); develop courses in translations that serve the needs of our students; and contribute to our department’s cocurricular activities. Our colleague will also contribute to one or more of these four areas of departmental emphasis: collaborative student research; diversification of the curriculum; outreach to audiences beyond Holy Cross; and exploration of new language pedagogies. This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a full-salary one-semester research leave prior to tenure review and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. Tenure track faculty are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College’s published policies.
