The USC Department of Classics in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences seeks to make a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor rank in Roman Law and/or ancient political theory and ethics. Candidates who combine these fields or do comparative work between historical periods or cultures are especially encouraged to apply. The appointment will begin August 15, 2019. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment and must demonstrate breadth as well as scholarly rigor in their scholarship and teaching.

The Department of Classics and Religious Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in Classics, to begin August 2019. We seek a dynamic, creative teacher and enthusiastic program builder to join our thriving Classics program. We are particularly interested in candidates experienced in teaching and designing large courses of material in translation, as well as candidates able to teach all undergraduate levels of Greek and Latin.
