Classics: The History Department at Providence College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the Classics beginning Fall 2012. Competence to teach in the Development of Western Civilization program and to teach Classical Greek and Latin literature and language is required. Field of specialization open. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. (by date of appointment) from an accredited institution and demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to establish a scholarly research program, and a willingness to be active in service to the college and community.
