The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Purdue University invites applications for a full-time Continuing Lecturer in Classics, beginning August 2011.
Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in Classics and experience teaching preferably both Latin and Classical Greek. In addition to undergraduate language courses, the Lecturer may also teach lecture courses in translation.
Applications should include a letter describing relevant teaching experience, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation that address the candidate’s teaching strengths. Continuing lectureships are non-tenured, renewable positions with medical and retirement benefits.
