Randolph-Macon College announces a one-year non-renewable position for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics and Art History for academic year 2007-08. This is a joint appointment in the Department of Classics and the Department of the Arts. The successful candidate will teach seven courses, four in the Classics Department preferably Greek and/or Latin at the elementary, intermediate or advanced undergraduate level depending on interests and qualifications, and three courses in the Department of the Arts. The latter courses may be current ARTH or Art History courses which may be accessed at www.rmc.edu under the Registrar's office. Applicants should have a documented record of outstanding teaching in both art history courses and language classes, and have solid credentials in Greek or Roman archaeology. Ph.D. required by the time of appointment.
