Ancient Mediterranean World/Classics:Roanoke College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Ancient History. Areas of specialization are open, but the successful candidate will contribute to an interdisciplinary Classics concentration. Teaching responsibilities include courses in candidate's areas of expertise and the college's new Intellectual Inquiry curriculum. Candidates should have or complete the requirements for the PhD by August 2011. We require a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Teaching experience and an ability to offer introductory Latin preferred. Research and professional development are expected and financially supported through travel funds and internal grants.
