Assistant Professor – Classical Studies. The Program in Classical Studies at Rollins College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment beginning August 2007. Annual teaching load of six courses. Responsibilities will include courses in Latin at all levels and courses in Greek civilization, history, and literature. We seek candidates who will also be eager to engage in student-faculty collaborative research and to contribute to a campus-wide initiative to involve students in international study. We invite applicants who are committed to innovative teaching, engaged in scholarship within their areas of expertise, and seek a position in an interdisciplinary program, whose members currently teach ancient Philosophy/Religion and Classical Art/Archaeology in addition to Classical languages.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. by the time of the appointment.
