The Department of Art and Art History and the Program in Classical Studies at Rollins College invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning August 2010. The successful candidate will teach six courses per academic year. Applicants may have a background in art history, classical archaeology, or classics, but must be able to teach Greek and Roman art and archaeology, art history survey of Western art from ancient to Medieval, lower-, intermediate- and upper-level courses in ancient art and material culture, Classical humanities, and Latin. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Roman civilization. A strong commitment to interdisciplinarity and undergraduate teaching, as well as evidence of scholarly potential are required.
