Saint Joseph's University seeks an Assistant Professor for a new tenure-track position in Classics. Candidates should be prepared to teach Latin and Greek language and literature at all undergraduate levels and to develop courses that support the Classics major and minor. The primary research interest of applicants should be Roman culture and civilization. Experience in teaching courses in Greek and Roman art and archaeology and classical mythology is highly desirable. The teaching load is 3/3. Candidates must have the Ph.D. by May 1, 2003 and be able to document effectiveness as a teacher.
