The newly formed Classics Department of Samford University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning in August 2001. The teaching load of three courses per semester may include an interdisciplinary course in the university core as well as departmental offerings in Classics, Greek, and Latin at all levels. The successful candidate can expect to contribute to the development of the program, will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and be supportive of Samford University's mission of Christian higher education. Ph.D. should be in hand by the time of appointment. Scholarship will be encouraged and supported.
