The Department of Classics invites applications for a one-year, adjunct lecturer position in Classics with a specialization in history. The teaching load is seven quarter courses (e.g. 2-2-3), and includes sections of the following courses: Ancient Greece, The Hellenistic Age, a cross-disciplinary course in the Core for first-year students, and additional courses by mutual agreement. Experience in teaching upper-division Greek or Latin prose is preferred, and proven excellence in teaching undergraduates is essential. The application deadline is April 1, 2011.
