From the Dipylon Society team:

We would like to share with you the launching of our latest project, "Karten von Attika in the Era of Digital Humanities," a bilingual open-access cartographic platform developed by the Dipylon Society.

The project takes as its starting point the unique cartographic achievement entitled "Maps of Attica" (Karten von Attika), composed by the historian-archaeologist E. Curtius and the topographer-cartographer J. A. Kaupert. The Dipylon project transfers this invaluable source of information regarding the Attic natural and cultural resources to the digital age through Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and digital cartograph

We hope that the digital platform will facilitate the scholarly work on Attic topography and attract a wider audience interested in the archaeology and history of Attica
