College faculty and staff are encouraged to apply for a Humanities Initiatives grant to strengthen the teaching and study of the humanities at their institution of higher education by developing new or enhancing existing humanities programs, resources (including those in digital format), or courses that explore, interpret, and preserve the diversity of human cultures, ideas, and practices, past and present.

This grant program supports a wide range of activities, from curriculum and faculty development, to student enrichment, partnerships, and more. Projects must address a core topic or set of themes drawn from humanities areas such as history, philosophy, religion, literature, or humanities-informed composition and writing skills.

Don’t miss your chance to get feedback on your project idea and application materials from NEH staff before the final deadline – email your optional draft or concept paper to hi@neh.gov by 3/21/23!
