Portions of the annual disbursement received by the Society for Classical Studies and the American Classical League from the Rudolph Masciantonio legacy gift fund will be used to advance the creation of a more inclusive environment in the field of Ancient Mediterranean Studies in K-12 education and offer assistance to teachers of K-12 students and those who are pursuing a career in K-12 education in areas relevant to our discipline (Latin, Ancient Greek, and Classics).
There are TWO types of Masciantonio grants, the Rudolph Masciantonio Latin Teacher Grant to Support DEI Initiatives, and the Rudolph Masciantonio Support Grant for Student Teachers of Latin. SCS membership is not required for application to either grant.
Application deadlines are November 30, 2023 and May 31, 2024.
