The American Classical League invites applications for the position of Editor of The Classical Outlook, one of the most widely circulated Classics journals in North America. Inquiries may be directed to the committee at that same e-mail address. We welcome applications from all interested individuals, especially those from groups underrepresented in classics. Candidates will be interviewed via video conferencing in the first or second week of December. A final decision is expected to be made in late December or early January. The new Editor will be responsible for the publication of the journal commencing with CO 98.1 in early 2023 after shadowing the current editor for two issues (97.3, 97.4) in fall 2022. The successful candidate would benefit from release time starting with fall 2022 to cover the period of shadowing. The term of service is a minimum of 4 years, with renewal possible for up to 4 years more. The Editor of CO currently serves on the Board of Governors of ACL.
