Women Latinists 2023, Summer Course in Florence
We are delighted to share that for the second summer running, Forte Academy is offering an in-person course in Florence on Women Latinists (17 - 26 July 2023). This course is open to all, 18 years old and above, with intermediate-advanced Latin reading skills.
Join us in Florence to explore women’s writing in Latin on this unique course that brings language to life around spaces of literary production. This course consists of daily Latin seminars, hands-on workshops and in situ reading at sites of special importance. With a strong focus on primary sources from antiquity up to the early modern period, you will hone your reading skills, discover new Latin authors and engage deeply with over 2,000 years of women’s writing.
