Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor - Classics Program. The Classics Program at Southwestern University invites applications for a one-year leave replacement position at the rank of instructor or visiting assistant professor to begin in late August 2002. The teaching load is three courses per semester and includes Greek, Latin, and Classical Civilization courses. Applicants should be broadly trained classicists. PhD in hand with some teaching experience is preferred, although ABDs will be considered. Candidates whose materials reach Southwestern by December 27, 2001 may be asked to interview at the APA/AIA meetings in January. There is a possibility that the position could be extended for a second and third year at institutions affiliated with Southwestern.
