The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at Saint Mary’s University invites applications for a contractually limited nine-month appointment in Classics at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are seeking candidates with a specialization in the field of Roman history and archaeology with a demonstrated record of effectiveness in university teaching who will support courses from introductory through to senior levels of the program. Applicants must hold a PhD in Classics, Classical Archaeology, Art History, or Ancient History. Alongside a full-time teaching assignment, the successful candidate will be expected to advise students, and participate actively in the intellectual life of the department.
