Temple University Rome seeks a Faculty Fellow in Classics for Spring Semester 2020 (Jan 14-May 5, 2020). Completed PhD preferred. The teaching load is a two-course equivalent; this teaching load is designed to allow time for the Faculty Fellow to conduct research in Rome.

We seek candidates with a proven record of successful teaching and preference is given to those candidates with demonstrated excellence in UG teaching. Applicants must be able to teach Greek at all levels, as well as a course in Classic and Roman Mythology. The successful candidate should have an ability to participate in recruitment of both Greek and Latin students for program.

Applicants should submit a cover letter detailing their interest in and qualifications for the position, a curriculum vitae, two letters of recommendation, official summaries of teaching evaluations, a statement of teaching philosophy and research interests, as well as a statement on how participation in the TURome Faculty Fellow program will support the applicant’s career planning.
