The Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures invites applications for a definite full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Classics beginning August 2005. We are seeking a Hellenist with specialization in Drama or Prose who can teach ancient Greek language and literature at all levels, including the MA program. Special consideration will be given to candidates able to teach large lecture courses in classics, such as comparative mythology, world of Greece, ancient religion, and gender and sexuality. Ph.D. and demonstrated commitment to scholarly publication required.
