The Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at Texas Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Classics at the level of Assistant Professor. Exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor rank will be considered as funding permits. We are seeking a Latinist with a specialization in Republican or Augustan Literature and demonstrated commitment to research and publication. Teaching duties include Latin language classes as well as Mythology and Roman Civilization on the undergraduate level, and Latin Prose Composition and a Latin literature seminar (alternating years) in the MA program. In addition, this position entails management of our Undergraduate Latin program, including mentoring the Latin TAs and running an Outreach Program to regional Secondary schools.
