Trinity University – San Antonio, TX. Visiting Assistant Professor of Classical Studies (Two Positions). The Department of Classical Studies invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professors, beginning August, 2013. Candidates are expected to have a high aptitude for undergraduate teaching and a strong commitment to the mission of a thriving liberal arts program. Candidates for Position A should have a demonstrated excellence in teaching Classical Mythology; candidates for position B should have a specialization in cultural or historical studies. (The two positions are to replace two faculty members on fellowship leave.)

Classical Studies at Trinity is a highly interdisciplinary undergraduate department with ties to Art History, Comparative Literature, History, Medieval Studies, Philosophy, Religion, Speech and Drama, Sociology and Anthropology, and Gender and Women’s Studies. The Department has six full-time faculty and one part-time faculty. There is an excellent library with over a million volumes and an excellent inter-library loan service.
