Visiting Assistant Professor of Classical Studies - Definite One-Year Appointment, August 2006. The Department of Classical Studies invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2006. Candidates are expected to have a high aptitude for undergraduate teaching and a strong commitment to the mission of a thriving liberal arts program. Area of specialization is open, but may include gender and sexuality, mythology, cultural studies, history, or multidisciplinary approaches.

Classical Studies at Trinity is a highly interdisciplinary undergraduate department with ties to Art History, Comparative Literature, History, Medieval Studies, Philosophy, Religion, Speech and Drama, Sociology/Anthropology, and Gender and Women's Studies. The Department has five full-time and two part-time faculty. There is an excellent library with over a million volumes and an excellent inter-library loan service.
