TULANE UNIVERSITY - NEW ORLEANS, LA

  1. The Department of Classical Studies at Tulane University seeks applicants for two positions. Both are one-year visiting assistant professor appointments for the academic year 2000-2001. Applicants for the first position should have a specialty in Aegean or Greek archaeology and be able to teach Latin at all undergraduate levels. Applicants for the second position should have expertise in Roman archaeology and ability to teach Latin at all undergraduate levels. Ability to teach undergraduate Greek would be welcome in candidates for either position. Tulane University's Department of Classical Studies announces a definite tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level, to begin in the Fall of 2000, in the field of archaic, classical, or Hellenistic Greek history and society. We seek broadly-trained candidates prepared to teach courses in all periods of Greek history; candidates should, in addition, be prepared to teach Greek and Latin at all levels. All requirements for the Ph.D. must have been completed by July 1, 2000.
