Instructor in Classical Studies, #2656. The Department of Classical Studies, Anthropology and Archaeology at The University of Akron invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure track instructorship in Classical Studies, starting January 12, 2004. The successful candidate will be a broadly trained classicist and will teach 12 credit hours per semester in core courses of Greek Myth and Ancient Sports as well as upper division courses. Strength in the literatures and an interest in conveying their appeal in translation are desirable. Ph.D. is preferred.

This is a nine month continuing position, with renewal based on performance and availability of funds. Initial salary for Instructors is $30,000 with full benefits; summer teaching is also available.
